এই লেসনের Activity
– Look at the image (ছবিটি দেখো)
– Form pairs or groups (জোড়া বা দল গঠন করো)
– Discuss, what facts does the image depict. (ছবিটিতে কি দেখতে পাচ্ছো, আলোচনা করো)
– Describe, what you would do if you were present in this special moment. (ছবির বিশেষ এই মুহূর্তে সেখানে উপস্থিত থাকলে তুমি কি করতে তা বর্ণনা করো)
IELTS বা এ জাতীয় ভাষাগত দক্ষতা মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষায় Speaking টেস্টের অংশ হিসেবে অনেক সময় ছবি দেখে সে বিষয়ে কথা বলতে বলা হয়।
তাই এই লেসনটি ভালোভাবে অনুশীলন করলে ভবিষ্যতে বিভিন্ন ভাষাগত দক্ষতা মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ তোমাদের জন্য সহজ হবে।
ছবি থেকে কিভাবে Fact খুঁজে বের করতে হয়
– ছবিটি ভালোভাবে লক্ষ্য করতে হবে। ছবিতে যা দেখা যাচ্ছে, তা চিহ্নিত করতে হবে।
– এভাবে শুরু করতে পারো: ‘In this picture…’, ‘There is… or There are…’, ‘The image depicts…’
– ছবিতে যে ঘটনা ঘটছে তা present continuous tense এ বর্ণনা করতে পারো: ‘The man is …ing’
– ছবির কোন অংশে কি দেখা যাচ্ছে, তা বর্ণনা করতে ‘At the top of the picture’, ‘At the middle of the photo’, ‘next to’, ‘near’, ‘under’, ‘behind’, ‘in front of’, ‘on the left’ ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করতে পারো।
চলো দেখে নিই, What facts does the photo depict? এই প্রশ্নটির উত্তর আমরা কিভাবে তৈরি করতে পারি। ছবিটি ভালোভাবে লক্ষ্য করি এবং ছবির বিষয়বস্তুগুলো গুলো চিহ্নিত করি।
– “Satellite” (স্যাটেলাইট বা কৃত্রিম উপগ্রহ),
– “Flag” (পতাকা),
– “Planet Earth” (পৃথিবী গ্রহ),
– “Space” (মহাশূন্য),
এবার এই কিওয়ার্ডগুলো দিয়ে একটি আর্টিকেল তৈরি করি। What facts does the photo depict? এই প্রশ্নের sample answer–টি এমন হতে পারে:
The image depicts a satellite. ছবিতে একটি স্যাটেলাইট দেখা যাচ্ছে। The two wings of the satellite have the color combinations of Bangladeshi flag. স্যাটেলাইটটির দুই পাখায় বাংলাদেশের পাতাকার রং অঙ্কিত হয়েছে। I can also see the planet earth just behind it. এর ঠিক পেছনেই পৃথিবী দেখা যাচ্ছে। The satellite is floating in the space. স্যাটেলাইটটি মহাকাশে ভাসছে।
এবার দ্বিতীয় প্রশ্নটি দেখা যাক।
Look at the photo again. ছবিটি আবার দেখো। What would you do if you were present in this special moment? ছবির বিশেষ এই মুহূর্তে সেখানে উপস্থিত থাকলে তুমি কি করতে তা বর্ণনা করো।
ছবি দেখে কিভাবে Opinion শেয়ার করতে হয়
ছবির যে বিষয়গুলো পরিষ্কারভাবে বোঝা যাচ্ছে না, তবে ধারণা করা যাচ্ছে, সে বিষয়গুলো তোমার Opinion হিসেবে বলতে পারো। এ ধরনের বক্তব্য দেয়ার সময় ‘It looks like…’, ‘I think…’, ‘May be it is a…’ এভাবে শুরু করতে পারো।
What would you do if you were present in this special moment এই প্রশ্নের sample answer–টি এমন হতে পারে:
If I were present at the space, I would gather as much new information as I could to learn more about the universe. আমি যদি মহাকাশে যেতে পারতাম, তবে সেখান থেকে যত বেশি সম্ভব মহাবিশ্ব সম্পর্কে নতুন নতুন তথ্য সংগ্রহের চেষ্টা করতাম।
তোমরা নিশ্চয়ই বঙ্গবন্ধু স্যাটেলাইট সম্পর্কে আরো অনেক কিছু জানতে ইচ্ছুক। তাই তোমাদের জন্য সুন্দরবন নিয়ে কিছু Fact এবং Opinion শেয়ার করা হলো:
The Bangabandhu Satellite-1 is Bangladesh’s first-ever geostationary communication satellite, named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
It was launched on 11 May 2018 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle at the Kennedy Space Center from the USA.
The Satellite provides telecommunication and broadcasting services and ensures secure communication during disasters.
Bangabandhu Satellite-1 covers a significant part of South Asia, including Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The satellite was manufactured by Thales Alenia Space, a French aerospace manufacturer, under a contract with the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
The launch of the Bangabandhu Satellite-1 marked a historic event for Bangladesh, as it became one of the few countries to have its own satellite in space.
The Bangabandhu Satellite-1 serves as a source of inspiration for me as a proud Bangladeshi. It demonstrates our capability to engage in space exploration and satellite technology. The whole nation overjoyed at the successful launch of the satellite on 11 May 2018. I am hopeful that this satellite will bring about a positive economic impact on our country by opening up new opportunities for economic development.
